...is an interdisciplinary exhibition format addressing performing and media Artists to use a touch sensitive carpet -SonicRug - as interface for music, programming as well as visualizing or gaming technology. 
The smart textile installation Sonic Rug can be transformed, altered and redefined by Artists, Designers and Programmers using data from the carpet to translate it into their field of interest. The data is accessible in the specific event space as well as online, so hackers can join from all over the world using the „human touch“ to create diverse digital output and and new ways of interconnectivity. The basic idea behind the format is to playfully diversify ideas, reflect on the use of haptic interfaces and discuss futuristic thoughts. Create, control, transform your sound, visuals and programs - on a rather unconventional interface. Smart world, Internet of things, Utopia/Dystopia here we go!
